Fitted to the stairs, not the wall this is the perfect choice for a straight staircase, the Acorn Superglide will give you the full use of the home you love. This straight stairlift will blend seamlessly into your home, and the smooth start and stop mechanism allows you to glide effortlessly up and down the stairs.

Our stairlifts are powered by direct current (DC) supplied by rechargeable batteries. These deliver a smooth, ultra-quiet and safe ride quality. If there is ever a power failure in your home your stairlift continues to function, so you will never get stranded. There is no mains voltage power to your stairlift. As the power supply is onboard the stairlift itself there is no troublesome trailing cable as with mains powered lifts.

A fold away footrest means that the stairs remain available for use by others, when the stairlift is not in use. The noise levels of the Stairlift are whisper quiet, due to the stairlifts' DC power supply. The lift can be 'sent' or 'called' to wherever it is needed by using the infra-red remote control. As the lift starts and finishes its journey, there will be no jolting or lurching due to Acorns rack & pinion drive.

Because we use our own fully trained Installation Engineers, the process is quick, clean and simple. Factory-prepared for installation - each stairlift is individually built to the dimensions of your own staircase.

No mains wiring necessary - so there's no need for expensive and disruptive alteration to the mains power supply or for an electrician. Power for the lift is derived from 2 x 12 volt maintenance free batteries charged via an independent transformer. Features include:

Fast, no mess installation - The Superglide fixes quickly & easily to your staircase, there's no mess, no need for any repairs.
Lockable on/off switch - Allows the user to prevent others from using the lift.
Diagnostic digital display - Informs the user of the status of the stairlift.
Safety sensors - Five safety sensors on the footrest and carriage stop the lift if an obstruction is encountered.
Remote controls - 2 handsets supplied, which allow the user to 'call' or 'send' the stairlift up and down the staircase.
